Course for Early Years Practitioners, Teachers, Teaching Assistants working with Hearing
Impaired Children

Description

A one day course run by professionals working with hearing impaired children in a range of settings. This course gives you the opportunity to find out how having an hearing impairment creates barriers for learning and how to overcome these barriers. Also gain hands on experience of handling amplification equipment.

Outcomes

To understand how hearing impairment impacts upon a child’s academic, social and emotional development
To receive practical tips on how to help include a hearing impaired child in your setting
To gain an improved understanding of hearing aids and radio aids
