Sensory Impairment, Physical and Medical Service
The Sensory Impairment, Physical and Medical Service is part of the 0-25 SEND Service made up of the Hearing Impairment, Visual Impairment and Physical and Medical Needs teams. The Service is comprised of qualified teachers of the visually impaired, qualified teachers of the deaf, specialist advisory teachers for physical and medical needs, specialist support assistants and VI rehabilitation workers. We work to promote the educational inclusion and achievement of children and young people with a significant visual or hearing impairment or physical /medical needs.
The Organisational Development Delivery Team offers a range of training and development opportunities for internal and external customers including all schools.
We also provide information, advice and guidance to LA maintained schools about apprenticeships and utilising their apprenticeship levy. Academies please see Employment and Skills, listed in services on this website, for apprenticeship advice.
